On March 19, 2025, a delegation from the Romanian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce visited the Jinan Area of the China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone. During the visit, both sides signed a cooperation agreement and held the unveiling ceremony of the Shandong Liaison Office, marking a significant step forward in China-Romania economic and trade cooperation. Officials from the Romanian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, the Jinan Area Administrative Committee of the Pilot Free Trade Zone, Jinan High-tech Zone, the Shandong Overseas Institutions Joint Office Center, and representatives from relevant enterprises attended the event.

After the event, the delegation visited the Jinan Area's Bonded Selection Project and the High-tech Zone Exhibition Hall.
